Creating a tabular model from a PowerPivot Excel file

in SSDT, you can create a Tabular Model by importing from PowerPivot. Is there any way to perform this by using AMO or something else? I am working on a 3rd party tool which needs to generate Tabular models out of PowerpiVot.

Thank you in advance!

I'll let the folks from this project respond about their plans on including this in TabularAMO, but based on Cathy's blog post here, it doesn't seem likely as it's very complex:

The AMO2Tabular library is not intended with that purpose.

AMO2Tabular main purpose is to provide a high level api to create Tabular models from relational data  sources and to manage existing tabular models. The API is not meant, in any place, to deal with PowerPivot models.
